Last Updated: January 4, 2026
DaemonData ("we," "us," or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website daemondata.dev (the "Site") and our SaaS analytics platform (the "Service").
We are committed to the principle of "Data Minimization," collecting only the information strictly necessary to facilitate the Service's logic and authentication.
1. ACCOUNTABILITY & CONTACT
For the purposes of British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the owner of DaemonData serves as the Privacy Officer. If you have questions regarding your data, or wish to exercise your rights (access, correction, deletion), please contact us by opening a support ticket via our official Discord Support Server.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Personal Information (Identity Data)
We do not utilize a native password system. We collect identity information solely through third-party OAuth providers. We collect and store:
- Discord Data: Username, Discord User ID, and the email address associated with your Discord account.
- Google Data: Name and email address provided via Google Sign-In.
- Profile Data: A "Display Name" (optional) configured in your account settings.
2.2 User-Generated Service Data
To function, the Service processes data you input:
- Interaction Data: Prompts, queries, and instructions you submit to the AI models.
- Service Logic: Mathematical equations, filter sets, notification triggers, graphing parameters, and system configurations created by you.
2.3 Automated Data Collection
- Usage Logs: Timestamps of login, API usage counts (for credit deduction), and error logs.
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: We use session cookies solely to maintain your login state and authentication security. We do not use third-party advertising or "tracking" cookies.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information for the following specific purposes:
- Authentication & Access: Verifying your identity via Discord/Google to grant access to your dashboard.
- Service Execution: Processing your "Service Logic" (equations) against data scraped from Reddit to generate notifications or graphs.
- Notifications: Sending automated alerts (via Discord or Email) when your configured criteria are met.
- Billing & Credits: Tracking "AI Credit" usage and managing subscription tiers (Free, Fiend, Daemon).
- Support: Verifying your identity for refund requests or technical support tickets.
- Service Improvement: Analyzing anonymous "Service Logic" to optimize system performance and develop new features.
4. DATA OWNERSHIP & PROPRIETARY RIGHTS
- Personal Identity: All personal information (Email, Discord ID, Name) remains your property. You have the right to request its correction or deletion at any time.
- Service Logic: As described in our Terms of Service, any configurations, equations, and notification systems you create using the Service are the exclusive property of DaemonData (or are licensed perpetually to us). We reserve the right to retain and use these anonymized configurations for the financial gain of the Service, even after your personal account data is deleted.
5. THIRD-PARTY DATA SHARING
We do not sell your Personal Identity Data. However, the Service acts as a conduit to various third-party infrastructure providers. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to the transmission of data to:
5.1 AI & LLM Providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Deepmind)
- Data Transferred: The text of your prompts ("Interaction Data") and the specific scraped Reddit content relevant to your query.
- Privacy: We do not transmit your Personal Identity Data (Email/Discord ID) to these providers. Data is sent anonymously via our API keys.
- Disclaimer: Use of these models is subject to the respective privacy policies of OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Deepmind. You acknowledge that AI models may retain prompt data for abuse monitoring.
5.2 Infrastructure
- Google Cloud / Firebase: Our database and backend logic are hosted on secure servers provided by Google. Your data may be stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where Google operates.
5.3 Data Sources (Reddit)
- Data Access: We access public Reddit data via the Reddit API. We do not transmit your personal DaemonData account information to Reddit, though we may use your Reddit OAuth token if you link your account for specific features.
6. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
DaemonData is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. However, our infrastructure (Google Cloud) and third-party processors (OpenAI, Reddit) may be located in the United States. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. While in the U.S., your information may be subject to access by U.S. law enforcement authorities under U.S. law (e.g., the Patriot Act).
7. DATA RETENTION & DELETION
- Retention: We retain your Personal Identity Data only as long as your account is active.
- Deletion: If you delete your account, your Personal Information (Email, Discord ID, Name) will be purged from our active databases immediately.
- Anonymization: Upon account deletion, any Service Logic or System Data you created will be stripped of all personal identifiers (anonymized) and retained as the proprietary property of DaemonData.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your jurisdiction (Canada, USA, EU), you have rights regarding your data:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request that we fix any inaccurate personal information.
- Withdrawal of Consent: You may revoke our access to your data by deleting your account.
- Opt-Out of Automated Decision Making: Since our notification system is "User-Configured," you maintain control. If you wish to stop automated processing of your prompts, you must disable your active notifications.
9. SECURITY
We implement industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but will notify you of any "Real Risk of Significant Harm" resulting from a data breach as required by Canadian law.
